Ingredients: Travel pack containing 98 Paludrine and 14 Avoclor tablets. Paludrine tablets contains Proguanil Hydrochloride B.P 100mg. Avloclor tablets contains Chloroquine Phosphate Ph Eur. 250mg (equivalent to 155mg of chloroquine base as the active ingredient).
For the protection against malaria in certain countries. Some types of malaria require that you take more than one type of tablet, at the same time, to help prevent malaria. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended for non immune residents and travellers to malarious areas as these individuals have little or no immunity to malaria and risk severe attacks.
Dose: Adults: 2 Tablets Daily after foodstarting one week before entering endemic area and continuing for four weeks after leaving. Children under 1 year 1/4 tablet as above Children 1-4 years 1/2 tablet as above. children: 9-14years 1 1/2 tablets as above.
Who Can Use It: Aduts and children.
Caution: If you have had have any problems with your liver or kidneys, have ever been told you have porphyria (rare disease of blood pigment), have epilepsy, or convulsions, seizures or fits, have psoriasis, if you are breast feeding, pregnant or suspect you are pregnant.
Possible Side Effects: In rare cases you may experience headaches & stomach upset, mouth ulcers, skin rash or itch, hair discolouration, or hair loss (sometimes reversible), blurring of vision or difficulty in focusing eyes, convulsions or fits, mood changes or other effects on behaviour.
