Ingredients: White tablets containing 100mg proguanil hyrdochloride.
Paludrine is used for the prevention of malaria. It is particularly suitable for trips to areas of the world which are either low or medium risk.
Dose: Adults: 2 Tablets Daily after foodstarting one week before entering endemic area and continuing for four weeks after leaving. Children under 1 year 1/4 tablet as above Children 1-4 years 1/2 tablet as above. Children: 9-14years 1 1/2 tablets as above

Caution: If you have ever suffered from liver or kidney problems, you have porphyria (rare disease of blood pigment), have epilepsy, or history of convulsions, seizures or fits, have psoriasis (a scaly condition of the skin) or if you are breast feeding, pregnant or suspect you are pregnant.
Possible Side Effects: Rarely in some cases you can experience headache & stomach upset, sometimes mouth ulcers and inflammation of the mouth, skin rash or itch, hair discolouration, or hair loss (sometimes reversible), blurring of vision or difficulty in focusing eyes, convulsions or fits, mood changes or other effects on behaviour.
